The Services: Branding, Website, Print Ads, and Social Media Templates
ABQ Uncorked & On Tap is a popular event that takes place each fall during the International Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Imagine all your favorite wineries, breweries, food trucks, and distilleries in one place, coming together to make a mouth-watering tasting event. Sounds amazing, right?! We thought so too. So, when the event organizer, Nicole, came to Salt for help with the ABQ Uncorked & On Tap design for a rebrand, fresh website design, social media support, and print ads, we were delighted to jump on board!
Phase 1: The Brand Identity
Although the event features many local vendors, at the heart of it all is community. The ABQ Uncorked & On Tap event brings residents, tourists, artists, wine conniessours, and everyone in between together. But, underneath all the cheers-ing and sipping, there’s a greater purpose: the event benefits a New Mexican nonprofit, Camp Enchantment. So, with all of this in mind, Emma got to work crafting the brand identity, and we love how it all turned out!
Phase 2: The Website
The ABQ Uncorked & On Tap website needed to showcase several aspects: event and ticket information, the purpose of the event, information about Camp Enchantment, and vendor and sponsor details. The website also needed to be optimized for mobile. So, naturally, we turned to our trusty fave, Showit.
Phase 3: Social Media Templates and Print Ads
Once the first two phases were complete, we were ready to take the event public. Nicole wanted to ensure the social media looked cohesive while providing information to event-goers. We helped her by outlining brand-specific content pillars and custom Canva social media templates that she could easily add pictures to and publish online. We also designed two print ads for a local newspaper, one of which included a QR code so readers could easily purchase tickets right in the moment.
In Nicole’s Words
Why did you want to rebrand and build a new website built for your business? What were your goals?
I needed a design and website professional to create and bring my vision to life for our event. I wanted something that really spoke to the community and would inspire them to attend our event.
What was your favorite part of the whole brand identity and website design process?
It was quick, simple, professional, and easy to work with. Emma took so much off my plate when creating the design and website. It made it so easy to make the quick transition and continue with the event without skipping a beat.
What was the biggest challenge for you during the project process?
Finding the time to respond to Emma at Salt Social Co. She was so quick to create everything and make it perfect for the vision!
Tell us your new bragging points – what’s your favorite thing about your new brand design and website, if you have one?
Where shall I start? Hmm. Salt Social Co. tied in the balloon fiesta which is huge for us since our event is in the middle of the day on the first day of the Balloon Fiesta. It also clearly represents the fall season, and the website beautifully shows that it is a tasting event with local vendors to bring the community together!
What results have you seen since the launch of your rebrand and new website? How does completing this project impact you as a business owner?
Everyone loves the branding and website, and it really shows what we are trying to accomplish with the event. The website is easy to navigate through and very to the point.
