The Best Partnerships Start by Making Sure We’re a Good Fit

Coffee in hand, of course

We work with thoughtful business owners who care deeply about what they do and are ready for their marketing to show for it.

Because we’re a small studio that stays closely involved in every project, we take on a limited number of new clients at a time. We consider your goals, timeline, budget, and what kind of support will make the biggest difference for your business.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • The entrance door has a window with the words 'SAGE WOOD' written on it in large, elegant white letters, with a small illustration of a leaf.

How long does a project take?

Every project is tailored to your business, but most Custom Brand and Custom Brand + Website projects take about 4–8 weeks from start to finish.

If paid advertising is part of your strategy, we typically launch ads after your brand and website are in place. Paid ads can start generating traffic and leads relatively quickly, but having a strong brand, clear messaging, and a website built to convert gives those ads a much stronger foundation to work from.

  • A patterned background featuring logos with a house and shield design, the words 'Thompson Home Stewards,' and the year 2026. A folded card with an elegant monogram logo is placed on top.

What should my business be budgeting for marketing/design?

The businesses that become the go-to in their industry don't stop investing after launch. Branding and your website create the foundation. Ongoing marketing (like SEO, advertising, website improvements, content, and strategy) keeps people finding you, trusting you, and choosing you.

While every business is different, many growth-focused companies invest 5–15% of their annual revenue into marketing, with newer businesses often investing more aggressively as they establish themselves.

  • Gold-colored coin with embossed text 'EC' and decorative border, placed on a beige surface.

What if I only need a logo?

We totally understand why people ask—but we don't offer standalone logo design. A logo is just one piece of your brand. Without strategy and a complete visual system, even the strongest logo has a difficult time carrying your business on its own.

That's why every Custom Brand project builds a complete identity designed to support every future marketing effort.

  • Close-up of a business card for a counseling and wellness service called Dayspring. The card features a logo with overlapping initials D, P, G, and W, and a design of fireworks or bursts in dark blue, gold, and red. The background is a soft, textured peach color.

I already have a logo. Can you design my website?

Our custom websites are primarily reserved for businesses that have gone through our Custom Brand process (or are part of our Marketing Program).

We've found that websites are simply more successful when they're built on a thoughtful brand foundation. It allows us to create an online experience that's cohesive, memorable, and built to support your business goals.

If you already have an established brand, we'll review it during our discovery conversation and recommend the path we believe will create the greatest long-term impact.

  • Elegant wedding invitation card with initials 'S' and 'B' surrounded by floral motifs, placed on a background of pink and peach roses.

Can you tweak or expand my existing logo?

Our preference is to build brands from the ground up because that's where we see the strongest long-term results.

That said, there are times when we'll thoughtfully expand an existing logo into a more complete brand system. We'll discuss your goals together and recommend the approach that best supports where your business is headed—not just where it's been.

  • An iPad on a beige table displaying a website for kid-centered dental services, with a signup form and a white stylus beside it.

Will my website be a template?

Absolutely not. We specialize in creating from-scratch, custom designs for our clients. We understand how competitive the dental and healthcare landscape can be, and we approach our brand and website projects with full creativity from the start so you stand out, not blend in to a sea of same-ness.

  • A white paper with pink and white flower-shaped logos and the text "Lively Littles ABA" on top of a black stand or box. Nearby is an old-fashioned camera placed on a concrete surface, with sunlight casting shadows.

    Do you offer payment plans?

Yes! For our Custom Brand and Custom Brand + Website projects, you can either pay your investment in full or split it into two equal payments, 30 days apart.

If you decide to continue working with us for paid advertising after your project is complete, that service is billed separately on a monthly basis.

  • A silver MacBook Pro placed on a beige, layered, rounded cushioned stool with a geometric patterned screen showing the text 'Emily Okamoto' in a white circle.

    What's your process like?

Every project starts with a chat to get to know your goals. We'll learn about your business, recommend the package that's the best fit, then guide you through strategy, design, collaborative review meetings, and launch.

Throughout the process, you'll always know what's happening next, and depending on your package, we'll either celebrate your launch or continue supporting your business through ongoing marketing.

  • Three business cards on a light pink background, with one card partially overlapping the other two. One card is purple with a logo, another is white with embossed text, and the third is gold with a grid pattern.

Who will I be working with?

Emma leads every project and stays closely involved from strategy through launch. Cameron takes the lead post-launch for SEO, paid ads strategy, and more.

Behind the scenes, our in-house team collaborates across branding, website design, SEO, advertising, copywriting, photography, and marketing. Together, we bring specialized expertise to every project while giving you one cohesive studio experience.

  • A folded piece of paper with a blue and green dinosaur pattern on a textured brown surface.

How much time and involvement is expected from me?

This is a done-for-you process, so we handle the heavy lifting. During the brand and website design phase, your main role is to complete a few questionnaires, attend Zoom checkpoints, provide feedback, and approve the work as we move forward.

Our most successful clients are comfortable using Zoom, or willing to become comfortable with it, and can join calls from a desktop or laptop in a quiet space with their camera on. We also ask that questionnaires, feedback, and approvals are completed in a timely manner so we can keep your project moving and on schedule.

You won’t be expected to figure out your brand, website, or marketing on your own. We’ll guide you through the process, ask the right questions, and take it from there.

  • A laptop on a wooden surface displaying a website about supporting infrastructure and communities, with images of workers performing construction and maintenance tasks.

I'm not a private practice. Can I still work with you?

Absolutely! Before specializing in private practices, we spent five years working with wedding professionals, food and beverage brands, florists, manufacturers, consultants, Pilates studios, and plenty of other businesses.

We still take on a select number of projects outside the private practice world each year when it feels like a great fit. If you like our work and our approach, we’d love to hear from you.
